GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL UTILITIES AUTHORITY

RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FINANCIAL APPLICATION SOFTWARE AND SERVICES TO EDMUNDS & ASSOCIATES

            WHEREAS, such computing software and services are exempt from the public bidding requirements imposed by the Local Public Contract Law, by virtue of N.J.S.A.40A:11-5(dd) which exempts provision or performance of goods or services for the support or maintenance of proprietary computer hardware or software; and

 

WHEREAS, the Authority Secretary has solicited quotations from a known provider of such product and services, with the goal of effecting a more efficient and transparent financial management system for Authority operations; and

 

WHEREAS, a proposal has been tendered and has been reviewed and approved by the Authority subject to receipt of a formal contract.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Chairman and Board Members of the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority that this contract is awarded without competitive bidding in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(dd), that a contract for Financial Application Software & Services be and is hereby awarded to Edmunds & Associates, Inc., 301A Tilton Road, Northfield, New Jersey 08225, in an amount not to exceed Forty Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty Five dollars ($47,535.00), representing the fee for installation and configuration, and training and implementation of the software system, without further written resolution of this Authority; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Authority, be and hereby is authorized to execute a contract for the software and services as necessary, in a form and substance acceptable to the Authority Solicitor and the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.; and

 

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice of this action shall be printed one (1) time within ten (10) days of its passage in an authorized official newspaper of the Authority.
