Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority for “Emergency Generator Maintenance & Inspection Services” and will be opened and read in public at the Authority’s offices located at 401 W. Landing Road, Blackwood, New Jersey, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. prevailing time.
The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these Specifications. Work to be performed generally consists of: maintenance and inspection services for the Authority’s forty-four (44) diesel and natural gas powered emergency generators. This service also includes all necessary equipment, materials, analytical and diagnostic tools, transportation, labor, reporting and all incidentals at the forty-four (44) various emergency generator locations owned and operated by the Gloucester Township MUA.
Plans, Specifications, and forms of bid for the proposed work prepared by Pennoni Associates, Municipal Engineers, and approved by the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority have been filed and are available with the office of the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority, 401 W. Landing Road, Blackwood, New Jersey, and may be inspected and picked up by prospective bidders during regular business hours.
Examination of the generator sites must be scheduled in advance and shall be coordinated by contacting the Authority Engineer, Thomas Leisse, PE at (856) 656-2922 or email@example.com.
Bids must be made on the standard Proposal form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract.
The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the place on or before the hour named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Performance Bond.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127, Affirmative Action Regulations.
The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders, who, in the judgment of the Gloucester Township Municipal Utilities Authority makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
